General Manager - Distribution Operations

We are looking for an experienced operational leader to oversee a high-volume distribution center and guide a complex, fast-moving environment. This role requires someone who can balance strategic insight with hands-on leadership, ensuring the operation runs efficiently while preparing for long-term growth.

As the senior leader on site, you will develop teams, streamline processes, and ensure inventory moves through the network with accuracy and speed. The position is ideal for someone who thrives on data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and building strong, high-performing teams.


Role Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily execution across all major warehouse functions
  • Lead and support managers and frontline team members, fostering an engaged and performance-driven culture
  • Handle escalated issues with professional, clear communication
  • Ensure operational activities align with broader supply chain goals

Strategic & Financial Leadership

  • Track performance against operational targets, budgets, and revenue objectives
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies using lean practices and analytical insights
  • Hold full responsibility for financial outcomes at the site, including P&L management

Inventory & Capacity Planning

  • Collaborate with internal partners on forecasting, replenishment, and demand planning
  • Refine SOPs, capacity models, and inventory planning processes
  • Improve inventory flow, visibility, and accuracy using technology and key performance indicators

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Drive initiatives focused on workplace safety, product quality, throughput, and operational excellence
  • Support automation, system upgrades, and facility layout improvements
  • Review operational data to guide short-term priorities and long-range planning

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to achieve cost, service, and quality objectives
  • Contribute to network-wide optimization efforts, including routing and facility efficiency projects
  • Maintain strong working relationships with carriers and logistics partners

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, fulfillment, warehousing, or related operations
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams or supervisors
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse processes including receiving, shipping, and fulfillment
  • A proactive leadership approach rooted in ownership, problem solving, and curiosity
  • Strong analytical skills with experience driving decisions through KPIs
  • Demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and establish structure, strategy, and backup plans
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Familiarity with systems such as WMS, ERP, and TMS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational experience
  • Bilingual capabilities - Spanish
  • Experience with automation, process redesign, or large-scale operational improvements
  • Exposure to multi-site operations or network-level planning
